Raise Your Voice for UCLA

The University of California is engaged in serious discussion with the Governor regarding the UC budget. We need your voice to advocate with your state Assembly member and state Senator. We need your voice to support funding for the University of California. This is a critical time for public higher education in California, so we need you to Raise Your Voice!

Please join us at our 13th UCLA Advocacy Workshop on Saturday, February 28, 2015 from 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (continental breakfast and lunch will be served), at the James West Alumni Center on the UCLA Campus. Our focus for this workshop will be on Sacramento issues. We will be in the Capitol on March 10, 2015 for UC Day in Sacramento. Additionally, we will be doing district office visits with members in the Los Angeles area after UC Day in Sacramento.

The UCLA Advocacy Workshop is designed to be an advocacy skills building training workshop to help volunteers deliver the UCLA message in a convincing and engaging way. You will not only begin to increase your communication and lobbying skills, but you will be introduced to opportunities where those skills can be engaged.

“This is a great way to give back and support UCLA. The process of helping elected officials understand the importance of the UC from the perspective of an Alumni and resident is both very fulfilling and very needed.”
