Assemblymember Raul Bocanegra’s Junior Legislator Program Visits UCLA

On Saturday, October 18, 2014, Assemblymember Raul Bocanegra’s Junior Legislator Program was hosted on campus by the UCLA Government and Community Relations’ State Government Relations unit.  Bocanegra’s Junior Legislator Program is a leadership program designed to expose high school students from the 39th Assembly District to the complexities of government, business, and education by sponsoring monthly visits to Los Angeles community partners.

Their UCLA visit consisted of a campus tour, hosted lunch, and several academic presentations from the UCLA Center for Community College Partnerships, the UCLA Undergraduate Admissions department, and the UCLA Graduate Division.   The Junior Legislator program visit is one of many ways that UCLA Government and Community Relations has committed to the mission of building bridges between UCLA, the greater Los Angeles community, and the government entities with which it interacts with each day.
