What is UCLA Advocacy?
UCLA Advocacy mobilizes individuals on behalf of the university to support legislation and policies that positively impact public higher education.
Raising your voice on behalf of UCLA with elected and other government officials on issues that affect higher education
Being a UCLA ambassador in the community at large and among influencers
Supporting UCLA’s tripartite mission of education, research and service by sending emails, making phone calls, engaging on social media or attending in-person meetings on specific policy matters
Strengthening our message by sharing your personal stories and professional expertise with key policy and decision makers during our advocacy days in Downtown Los Angeles, Sacramento, and Washington, DC
Developing professional skills, including public speaking and policy analysis, while networking with other passionate, civic-minded Bruins at various stages of their careers
Showing current students the value of a UCLA education and the importance of giving back to the university in different ways beyond the checkbook.
