The Assemblymember’s day, which consisted of various meetings, ended with a leadership gathering from the UCLA Graduate Division to discuss the importance of diversity in graduate school education.
Assemblymember Rendon’s visit was highlighted by a lunch with UCLA faculty, staff, alumni, and students at the UCLA Faculty Center. Attendees had the opportunity to converse with Rendon about several public policy topics.
The UCLA Government and Community Relations “Legislator to Campus” program serves to explore legislative members’ future governmental interests and to demonstrate how GCR can help meet those needs by showcasing university resources, faculty, and alumni.
