Ms. Julia Brown joined UCLA Government and Community Relations in September 2023 as Director of Community Relations. She was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA and received her Bachelor’s degree in International Relations with a minor in Spanish from the University of Southern California. Upon graduation, she pursued a career in public affairs and communications, and has worked in both the public and private sectors with a focus on land use, infrastructure, and transportation. She later earned a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Administration, with an emphasis in Urban Affairs from California State University, Long Beach, and a Master’s degree in Political Management from George Washington University in Washington, DC.
