- Develop and maintain relationships with local elected officials, their staff, and departments: Los Angeles Mayor’s Office, Los Angeles City Council, County Board of Supervisors, and other municipalities in the greater Los Angeles area, such as: Culver City, Santa Monica, and Inglewood
- Foster good neighbor relationships by providing information on major events, construction, or capital projects that affect noise and/or traffic flow to the community surrounding UCLA
- Host Annual UCLA Advocacy Day in Downtown Los Angeles
- Co-host annual Luskin School of Public Affairs Day at City Hall
- Host candidate/election forums in the district with campus and external partners
- Invite legislators to campus for meetings and special events
- Host educational forums on issues of interest to the community
- Strengthen university engagement through community participation, neighbor involvement, and support of community organizations
